Throughout this school year, following feedback from users the Skolengo teams have developed new features in the Teaching, Communication, Schooling and Management and Administration modules, to optimise the platform so as to best assist you in performing your missions.
Teaching module: new videoconference service
Offer your students, remote virtual classes
With the new videoconference service directly integrated into Skolengo, teachers can provide teaching continuity with virtual classes easily and securely. This new service is accessible on a computer, tablet or smartphone.
Re-discover the Chat service, updated and optimised
The Chat service has been improved to allow all members of the class or group, to best communicate during this period of remote schooling.
The Skolengo platform is available in several languages
All Skolengo modules are now available in French, English, Spanish and German.
This internationalisation of the platform is particularly interesting for teaching establishments abroad. It also seems useful on the French territory, to more easily integrate certain users to the educational community like, for example, parents who do not speak French. Each user can choose the language they wish to display, in their dedicated Skolengo space.
An on-line help is available for all profiles in English via our skolengo-academy.org website and also for the parent, in Spanish and soon in German.
Schooling module: Optimisation of the student record, the agenda and the messaging service
Create and modify Schooling events directly in the student record
The agenda presents the student record enriched with a feature that allows schooling events for the student to be created and modified. Addition of an event such as an observation, an absence, a lateness, a departure, an exemption or a detention is done by clicking on the agenda.This quick and easy entry integrated into the agenda allows schooling staff to save time.
The student record can be consulted by all profiles including teachers, parents and students with the “limited consultation” mode.
Provide real personalised monitoring of a student’s schooling using the interactive calendar
A new agenda view accessible from the student record, allows you to have an overview of all the student’s classes as well as schooling events.
The cross-referenced display of attendance elements (absences, dispensations, lateness and leaving) and behaviour (punishments) on the student’s agenda, will allow the Deputy Principal to see a personalized analysis of the student’s behaviour throughout a week at a glance. This professional interface highlights each event, giving it a colour and a direct access to modification.
It provides real time savings on a daily basis for the Deputy Principal so that they can carry out their mission.
Communication module: a more user-friendly messaging service
Immediately identify your recipient thanks to the display of their profile
When you enter the name of your recipient or when you are searching in the address-book, their profile appears in brackets after their name.
Personalise your electronic signature
All users have a signature present by default during the drafting of a new message. You can now modify it from the “Settings > Signature” menu of your messaging service.
The Management & administration module: highlight on changes to billing and bill payment
On-line payment of bills available for parents
Parents can now pay fees for schooling, transport, trips and other associated fees on-line, using the parents’ portal: canteen, outside school activities and registration.
Producing an annual billing
Schools have the possibility of configuring their tariffication annually in addition to periodic tariffication for fees that they accept to bill once for the whole year.
This annual tariff is then billed to payers having asked to be billed annually. If the tariff can only be billed periodically for certain fees, the payer is then billed periodically for those costs.
Reserve advance payments and down-payments for a fee and/or a student
It is now possible to reserve all or part of the advance payment and deposits generated during a collection. The list of collections is automatically updated with the amount of advance-payments, deposits and possible breakdowns performed 
Merge duplicate accounts of legal guardians
Administrative staff can easily and quickly merge information on a account to delete with those of an account to keep. All of the information -bills, payments, children, etc.) are properly transferred into the account retained.
